Nearly 100 years ago Captain Wallace Greeley had a vision to provide people in Story County and the surrounding area access to exceptional care. The result was Mary Greeley Medical Center. Seventy-five years later hospital leadership, along with Dr. William R. Bliss, shared a vision for a comprehensive cancer center in central Iowa. The result was the Bliss Cancer Center. And in the mid 1990s the Israel family and others had a vision to provide hospice care—a place where our loved ones could spend their last days with dignity and in peace. The result was the Israel Family Hospice House. Today we have our own extraordinary vision. It is by far the largest initiative ever undertaken by the medical center: a $129 million project that will transform our facilities and help us meet the needs of our patients, visitors, physicians and staff now and well into the future. Please watch our video to learn more about this project, and then please consider a meaningful gift to our Extraordinary Visions Campaign. Help us turn our extraordinary vision into a reality.
