This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. "Just because I failed once, didn’t mean I was done for". Former American Idol contestant Andrina Brogden takes us through her emotional journey of acceptance that perfection isn’t everything. She tells of how trying to be “the best” actually was a set-back and found that failure may have been the only way to grow and move closer to her goals. Andrina Brogden is an aspiring musical performer who has been singing since she was a little girl. Andrina's big moment of 2013-2014 was singing her way into the Top 15 female contestants on Fox's American Idol XIII where she received national attention and exposure. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
