50 Monsters Level 12: Elk Monastery 50 Monsters is a 32-level Vanilla-compatible megawad omposed of small maps with exactly 50 monsters each. This started off in September 2014 as nothing more than a simple mapping exercise. The maps were designed primarily for pistol starts. It was created by Brayden "AD_79" Hart et al and was released on January 2, 2017, making it one of the first megawads of 2017.
