Analog Devices' ADM2795E is an isolated RS-485 transceiver with transient protection for use in HVAC, industrial field bus, building automation, and utility network applications. The ADM2795E uses Analog Devices iCoupler technology to provide signal paths with 5 kVRMS isolation and ±42 V fault protection. The transceiver also integrates an EMC transient protection circuit that offers certified level 4 EMC protection on the RS-485 A and B bus pins. The ADM2795E offers separate logic and bus supplies, with the logic supply operating from 1.7V to 5.5V to support low voltage interfaces. It also has a ±25 V common mode voltage range and 75 kV/µs common mode transient immunity to ensure reliable communication in noisy environments.
