Here are Heats 3 and 4 (of 4) of the Boys 800 Meter Run from the 2018 CIF (Southern Section) Division 1 Track and Field Prelims meet held on May 12, 2018 at Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo, California.

Commentary:  Heat 3 is a battle with Montez sprinting the final backstretch after a 56 on the first lap.  Adel gets him in the homestretch along with Coleman and Dowdy, who are forced to run PRs to make it.  All 4 move on to Finals.  Heat 4 is a slow one, posting the first lap in 60.  That plays right into the D1 runner-up's hands and he is the only one to move on.
