This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In 2005 Debi Frock founded Ghanaian Mothers’ Hope, Inc. They began by building a preschool, however, her journey started long before that, and has extended well beyond that project. The impact this has had on her, the volunteers and those they have touched has been enormous. She began by affecting their lives with school, however, their education and hers has come leaps and bounds from there… and the story is still being written. The story is of hope, dreams, failures and successes, and of listening to those voices that guide us all.

Visionaries, those who think and plan the future with imagination and wisdom, drive our world forward. They see people and situations different from the rest of the world. What drives them; dreams? Hopes? Voices? Debi Frock, the founder of is one such visionary. In this talk she shares insights into the dreams of a 5 year old and how small offerings make a huge difference in lifting up a community.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
