On a recent trip back down to Fla, I visited a facility that offers people a second chance. It also offered me a brake from animal videos to look at some people and their situations. "A Place of Hope" Thanks to those who told me their story, and as requested by the facility, no faces were shown. To me it was interesting learning that 1 in every 200 persons in the US uses a shelter system at some point in their life. In this human piece, I explored a place called Pinellas Hope in Florida. A facility that residents can go from living in a tent to a studio apartment on grounds where rent is taken from a percentage of what they earn from their jobs that the charity helps them get. A design which truly helps people get back onto their feet and of the streets and back into working society.
