When the Whole Country Was Busy Celebrating Independence Day, There Was A Huge Area/Region Which Was Seeking Independence from Floods. I Decided to Pay Visit To One Such Region- Baisi Block In Purnia. My Father (Along With Other Officials) Was Undertaking Relief Operations In Baisi & He Asked Me To Accompany Him & Witness The Devastating Scenes Caused By The Floods, To Which I Duly Obliged . On Reaching Baisi, I Got To See Some Cruel Scenes- Houses Submerged, People Searching For Food & Shelter, Damages Caused & Rescue Operations Being Undertaken. This Scenario, Which Happens Every Year, Was Too Harsh On the Victims.

The Video Contains Coverage From Area Which Was Lesser Affected By Floods In Comparison To Some Remote Areas Where The Scenario Was Extremely Unnerving. These Places Were Surrounded By Water from All Sides & Hence Completely Cut-Off From The Rest Of The World. I Couldnt Go To Any Such Places But My Father Did. He Went Along With The NDRF Team To Some Very Remote Areas, AN Experience Which HE Accounted To Me Later. The Flow Of Water In Those Areas Was Extremely Dangerous.
Flood Is Still In Full Flow In Bihar, Causing Widespread Damages In Whole Of North Bihar(Places North Of River Ganga). More Than 250 People Have Already Lost Their Lives In This Annual Natural Disaster (Of Bihar). Keep In Mind This Is the Official figure, the Actual figure Is Much Much More. Hundreds Of Animals Have Also Lost Their Lives After Being Swept Off In The Deadly Current. In Total, Around 1 Crore People Are Currently Affected By The Floods.

Flood Is Also Causing Havoc in Assam, West Bengal & Uttar Pradesh But The Situation Remains the Grimmest In Bihar. Slowly But Steadily, Relief Operations Are Reaching The People Stuck In Remote Areas, But Still This Is Not Enough. Thousands Of People Are Still Unaccesible, Many of Them Missing. Rescue & Relief Needs To Be Speeded Up So As To Reach Out The Needy As Soon As Possible.

Big Salute To All The People Currently Undertaking The Relief & Rescue Operations On War-Footing. You All Are Doing A Great Job.
