The Off Grid Project Hauling Fire Wood & Freezing Nights

We have had freezing nights again recently so the garden has to be protected every night. And I am hauling fire wood all the time now in order to get ready for winter. We are using every tarp, drop cloth and scrap of material that we have on hand in order to cover the garden plants every night. And we are happy that we did too because although it was supposed to be in the mid 40s at night in town, we got a coating of frost on the ground. It was down to 34 degrees after I did my video. In the morning we have to rush out and uncover the plants before the morning sun bakes them. And with all the rain and humidity the plants are rotting so we have to uncover them to let the air flow over them and hopefully prolong their lives. I hauled in 5 wheelbarrow loads of fire wood from the forest on our land. I had to haul it a long way and from the woods. It is a lot of work because first I have to carry the wood out of the forest and stack it up by the road side. Then I have to haul it home and stack it up for use in heating our off grid tiny house this winter. I am working outside the homestead recently for fire wood and other things. We are doing a sort of trade and barter system. And we need the wood. Next week I will be cutting the logs and hauling that wood home so I will be out a lot again. Part of being self sufficient is to provide our own food and heat for our off grid tiny house. We are hoping to become as self sufficient as modern society allows. This includes trading, bartering and selling things from our own homestead in order to pay the bills. Thanks for watching. Please Subscribe & follow my daily videos.
