I will update this review as time goes on and I gain more experience with the product. My initial impression is that it is well worth the money for the price point and delivers exceptional value.

Are you looking for a spy cam? Surveillance cam? Action sports camera? Dash Cam? Entry Level High Speed Cam? Time-Lapse Camera? Scuba Camera?

The low-light or inside video quality is not what I was expecting. Grainy! For hd... wow, disappointed.

On my first day with the camera I did not feel as though I got my money's worth out of the battery, having only done some clips on the way to work. I did a somewhat more scientific experiment to test the battery life. Set on QHD and 60fps with 'screen save' turned off, II got exactly 41 minutes and 41 seconds of recording before the unit automatically shut down. The unit was quite warm at this point, especially near the battery compartment and memory card.

This thing is supposed to be able to do it all and I intend upon putting that to the test!

The waterproof case feels pretty tough and appears to be waterproof, though I have not tested that yet. The instructions do not tell you how to get into the case which I feel might result in some broken cases if you get a 300 pound gorilla behind one of these things. My video does show how to open this and other reviewers have showed this with similar products. The waterproof case also comes with a spare back which I can only imagine is for when you scratch up the first to bad and cannot see through it anymore.

The battery door is not tethered or hinged and comes off completely. It feels like they cut a corner there. The battery, of which it comes with one 3.7v li-ion 1050mah battery, has not impressed me so far. Out of the box there was a small charge, but it quickly died. I had it on the charger for hours last night and this morning it registered a full charge, but within 5 minutes or so one of the bars dropped off. I shot some short videos walking to my car, and in the car on the way to work and walking into work and goofing off at the desk. The battery has died already with nowhere near the stated 80 minute battery life - I was filming at 120fps 720p. I may have gotten 20 minutes from the charge. I will make a vide with all the footage and repot back.

The 2" screen is not touch sensitive - so don't hope for that (they don't advertise it is... but someone out there might confuse LTPS for touchscreen). The screen itself it what you would expect from a 2" budget lcd. The on-screen image quality is not great and looks kind of choppy while recording, though the records look great when played back on computer. From a durability standpoint, the screen does not feel very robust. If you're like me (and you thought it may possibly be a touchscreen) and pressed on the screen, you will find that it has a fair bit of flex and it distorts the colors very easily when doing so. I suspect they cut cost here with the screen because they know that most hard-users of the product will have it installed in its protective case. It also has kind of a soft feel, like the outermost layer of it would be susceptible to scratching and impact. If you are going to use this without the case, I definitely recommend getting some sort of legitimate screen protector for it.

All of the controls for the user interface are done through the four buttons. There are up and down buttons on the side, the shutter button (functions as select/enter in menus), and the front power button (which also functions to cycle through modes).
