Doctor: Remaining synagogue victims doing well

(31 Oct 2018) A doctor said that the three synagogue shooting victims who remain hospitalized are doing much better Wednesday. Dr. Donald Yealy, head of emergency medicine at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, says the two who remain in intensive care no longer need help breathing. Two congregants and one police officer remain. They were among several people wounded in Saturday's attack on the Tree of Life synagogue, which is still an active crime scene. Eleven people from three separate congregations lost their lives. Standing across from the synagogue, Yealy said he thinks the overall prognoses for all the wounded is good. But he knows some will require years of medical help.
