With the release of planets in Space Engineers a month back and Episode VII; Star Wars - The Force Awakens just on the horizon, I thought I would build one of my favourite ships from the prequels.

For this build I tried to stay within the constraints of vanilla, which in the end didn't make for the most functional of designs, but at least it resembles the ship and it's hyperdrive module; the Syliure-31 long-range hyperdrive module.

I may come back later and polish this build up, but for now you can go ahead and download it and do the work you see necessary. It is available on the steam workshop.

Some background history on the Delta-7 from Star Wars wikia:

Obi-Wan Kenobi's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor began as an interceptor commissioned just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY. Highly advanced and carrying sophisticated equipment, it was an expensive starfighter to produce. The ship was armed with four laser cannons (many of the fighters were upgraded to contain two extra cannons behind breakaway panels after recommendations based on the flight-test and subsequent modifications made by Jedi Master Saesee Tiin and Adi Gallia for increased performance), and an advanced communication and sensor array that kept the pilot of the ship well-prepared for any circumstance that might arise during space travel.

The Syliure-31 was designed for the Kuat Systems Engineering Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, though it was also used to transport Delta-7Bs, and Delta-12 Skysprites. Two large hyperdrive engines were mounted on opposite sides of the ring, which split across the middle with a socket that connected the fighter to the ring. The engines were fitted with Class 1.0 hyperdrives, with an operational range of 150,000 light years.
