Massive tree crashes down and kills youth near Ootytree crashes

With the south west monsoon active, Nilgiris district has been experiencing heavy rains accompanied by strong winds. In light of this a huge tree crashed down on to the Ooty -Gudalur highway. A young man of 18 years who was caught under the tree was rescued and rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately , he succumbed to the injuries and died on the way to the hospital
