I'm back to you guys again. Bakker is always back. Candida cleanse while nursing, yes or no? No. All right. I've got four kids. In fact when Tracy had each child, I would sometimes undergo cleanses or detoxes, but I was never a big fan of my wife undergoing any kind of a dietary or supplement work or anything while pregnant or nursing. I don't think it's a great idea. When a lady is nursing I think the best thing you can do, really support that person by looking after her. If she's got a partner hopefully.

Meaning, she gets nice food cooked for her. She gets her feet massaged or she gets looked after by a significant. She gets pampered. That means she's going to be in a happy place and it's going to be a lot easier for the baby to be happy as well. But to undergo a cleanse while nursing is not really a good idea.

You're stirring up the body a lot with cleansing. When you undergo a candida cleanse, try and think of it a little bit like you've got a room that's really dirty and dusty and you walk in there and you start cleaning it all up. And what's going to happen, you're going to be coughing, you're going to itchy eyes, you're going to get crap flying and floating through the air, landing on your body. Could be breathing it in. Might have to wear a mask. You're going into an environment that's not really good.

Now why would you want to put a nursing woman into a dirty, filthy, dusty room and not have her wear a mask? Let her get itchy skin, let her get all these kind of problems because of all the toxins around her, impacting on her health? You wouldn't want to do that. You'd probably tell her to get the heck out of the room.

Why don't you wait? Why doesn't the nursing mom wait until she's finished nursing? Then she can undergo a candida cleanse. When you're nursing, resting is a very important thing. Eating good food. Eating food containing the right fats to support great breast milk production is a really good idea. Avocado, fish oil, omega-3s, witchern oil. There are many, many good foods you can eat for breast feeding. Maybe some brazil nuts, some almonds.

Lots of green leafy vegetables for lots and lots of folic acid and magnesium. Many of those minerals you'll get from a really, really good diet and plenty of good fats in the diet. Tahini, sesame seed paste is fantastic fat for breast feeding. These are the foods that mom needs to eat. She should not be taking herbs to cleanse or detox, it's a bad idea.

There are some herbs that some women take for tea like chamomile or maybe peppermint. Those things are fine but I'm talking about more St. Mary's thistle, herbs like that. A deeper cleansing kind of herb. Keep those things for down the track when the nursing's finished. Nursing can range anywhere from six weeks up to two years, depending on the mom. I prefer, while I like to see women nurse for as long as possible.

It confers so much benefit for the baby. Both for emotional health and physical health. I'm a huge fan of breast feeding. I think it's one of the best things you can do for a child to give them a really good start in life. And it's an awesome thing for the family too. I find it a great family kind of a thing.

Yeah, nursing while candida cleanse, no, not a good idea. Reserve that for down the track. Thanks for the question.
