'TICK TOCK' - Tom Misch - Acoustic Cover (Adam Lee) - Faith PJE Legacy Neptune Hey guys, Here's a short clip I recorded of my lovely new acoustic guitar. The lovely people at Faith Guitars invited me down to their HQ recently, to pick an acoustic guitar from their vast selection. I spent about 4 hours playing guitars, and with the help of some lovely Periscope viewers, and the generous Alex Mew at Faith, I went home with this beautiful instrument - the Faith Patrick James Eggle Legacy Neptune. This guitar sounds, plays and looks stunning. With a torrefied sitka spruce top, and African Khaya mahogany back and sides, it sounds brilliant. I stuck in a set of ebony bridge pins, and broke the guitar in a little with some Tone Rite treatment for a week, and a couple hours play, each day. It really is sounding lovely, and I hope I did that tone a little justice on this short video. I will post more, where it isn't in a mix context, as I've ended up shelving off some of the guitar's natural low end to get the tracks to sit better in this mix. The guitar was recorded entirely acoustically, using two wonderful mics from sE: the Z5600a II multi-pattern tube mic, and a sE 5 pencil mic. One incredible combo for recording acoustic guitar!
