An effective way to counter double wrist control in an MMA fight.

You heard me right, in the video I say that fighting from the guard in an MMA fight is a crappy position. Keep in mind, I have won fights from the guard, I understand the position, I am actually pretty good at grappling from there- however, I will never endorse the idea of the guard as a position of power. At best, it's a neutral position in submission grappling or sport BJJ, at worst, it's a brutal beat down position in MMA or self defense situations.

Whenever you have the option to be the guy on top in a fight, take it.

Also, since according to every self-defense video ever made, muggers and rapists only ever attack by grabbing your wrists. So after watching this video you'll technically be unstoppable "on the street". (For those who don't know me, that last bit was a joke. Muggers and rapists usually carry guns and knives and travel in packs, rendering all the secret ninja wrist grab counter crap you'll learn on youtube virtually useless. Remember, the best martial art for self defense is Track & Field. Run, run, run away and live to fight another day.)
