J. Krishnamurti - Brockwood Park 1982 - Public Talk 2 - What has happened to mankind? Summary: Does living according to ideals breed conflict? Are facts much more real than our conclusions about the facts? Ideologies, projected by thought, create conflict. Is it necessary to have ideologies at all? Is fear a cause of conflict and can it end? What is its cause? Is it thought that is the root of fear? Without thought what shall I do? Is it possible for the senses to operate fully together? When thought creates the image from sensation, that moment is the birth of desire. Can the cause be dispelled without effort? Effort is another form of conflict. Can I observe without movement of thought or time? --- This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America. The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.' We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms. Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world.
