Driving around in Tenerife I had forgotten to put a next destination, where I wanted to go snorkeling, in Google Maps. I either had to go back home to look it up, or go blindly and hope I would find the/a spot anyways. As a preparation I always look for interesting places in Google Earth on my desktop computer and I save those as a KMZ file in Dropbox, so I have them available on my laptop when travelling. I remembered I have both Google Earth and dropbox on my phone too. So I just had to load the file and I got what I needed. Dropbox means you have a backup of your files and your files are available on any platform you use and they are accessible from any location where you have internet. A great invention! This may work with other similar products as well of course, such as Skydrive or Google Drive.
