- Sense and environment of Hajj either here or there - Why is the Hajj uniform called 'Ihram'? - Items that are not permissible in the state of Ihram - What is the message behind the forbidden actions? - Unfair expectations of Muslims towards the world through guilt by association - Mass condemnations across North America, ignored by the mainstream media - Anti-terrorism handbook created by Muslim Canadian organizations, with cooperation by the RCMP, who have written sections of the publication - RCMP withdrawal of support of the handbook, under pressure from the ruling government "There are many bodily actions forbidden in the state of Ehram. This is a message that even when it comes to yourself, we don't believe in the slogan 'my body, my business'. It's our body, God's business. It's given to us in trust. This is reinforced when in Ehram." "If Muslims returned with the true spirit of Hajj, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately instead we see people claiming the Caliphate, whose main task is killing, beheading, & mosque destruction. No due process, court, evidence, or judgement.' "It is a norm that Canadian Muslims are expected to condemn violence in other parts of the world. And they do strongly condemn, but the mainstream media doesn't want to pick up the positive statements, only the sensationalized stories. They prefer rhetoric from the hills of Peshawar & Afghanistan rather than statements made here at home, in Canada." "Two groups and the RCMP collaboratively wrote a handbook, 'United Against Terrorism'. Just before launch, the RCMP was told by Ottawa to withdraw their support. It seems very clear that the sections which didn't sit well with gov't leaders involved the section on rights of Canadian Muslims. There is nothing wrong with talking about the civil rights of Canadian Muslims when interacting with law enforcement. The 'United Against Terrorism' handbook is very balanced overall. It's looking for a secure, inclusive, and just Canada. Unfortunately the anti-Muslim, anti-minority pressures have hindered progress via Ottawa."
