Dodkiwada-Valpoi is probably the only municipal ward area in Goa, which still lacks proper roads and street lights. Locals claim that repeated appeals to the municipality and local MLA to address the issue have fallen on deaf ears. The area, consisting of about 15 houses, is in dire need of proper road and street illumination.
