Here's another glitch you can do. Pick up a Bob-omb, jump and throw it, then quickly run to it and pick it up again. If it's big and you aren't sliding, you did it correctly. Jump on a Goomba with it and the Bob-omb will change into another item (A cloud of dust and a spark are usually the most common ones but they are hard to see). You can also get Goombas, Cannonballs, and other items.
