Ireland found itself caught between two weather systems, the so called "Beast from the east" bringing arctic winds and "Storm Emma" on the West of the country, this resulted in some extreme and very nonseasonal weather, instead of the usual spring showers of rain, we got a blanket of deep snow across the country, which meant a red weather warning was called, bringing the entire country to a standstill for a few days.
