Kushak Mahal stands as a preserved historical site in New Delhi, nestled discreetly within the grounds of Teen Murti Bhawan. This monument, shrouded by lush trees, often escapes notice unless one intentionally makes their way towards the Nehru Planetarium.

Kushak Mahal, in all likelihood, served as a hunting lodge or shikargah and was constructed during the reign of Firoz Shah Tughlak, who ruled from A.D. 1351 to 1388. This historical structure boasts a nearly square design and was crafted from rubble. It is elevated on a platform about 5 meters above the ground level. The building features three gracefully arched entrances supported by sturdy stone pillars, with each bay further divided into three compartments in terms of depth. The roof of Kushak Mahal is flat, and it boasts a vaulted ceiling. Originally, it was aligned with an embankment that was intended for water storage during the rainy season, but this embankment no longer exists. #KushakMahal #NehruPlanetarium #NewDelhi
