Here's an example of why the long term success of Detroit is in doubt. Where are there parents that would consider sending their children to a school where this kind of damage occurred? Schools get closed all over the country, but are not destroyed while vacant. The vandals are the last in line. This problem started at the top. The building wasn't secured. It looks like scrappers had an unlimited amount of time to strip whatever it is they wanted out of the building. This building is well constructed and was beautiful at one time. For every Cass Tech there are five of these schools in ruins.
