Using a bellows for forging

Call me crazy but I wanted to go backwards a bit. Using a bellows and small pieces of pine pallet wood for the heat to forge with. The anvil is just a chunk of 2x2 square mild steel. Anyone should be able to cobble together a forge and better anvil than this and get to making a knife. If I can do it so can you.
