Page 1: Observations

Being a humbaba transformed by a powerful Mist, several times larger than its regular kin, and a fearsome sight to behold, with giant iron-hard horns as hot as molten rock.

The sword it wields is a subject of legend, for it is said that with this blade did the gods first cut Heaven and Earth in twain.

Battle

Before entering the battle every character should be up with good effects on them. When the battle begins Humbaba Mistant will attack the party with strong combo attacks, so it doesn't hurt to have Protect on the party and Dispel good effects from him. The Humbaba Mistant's strength increases when its HP starts to get critical. This can be deadly without Protect and if HP is low. This should work if the party can attack with nothing but physical attacks and Magicks as this would cause him to fall.

For those who gain their clan rank high enough, the Nihopalaoa is quite effective when fighting this boss. With this equipped, the battle will be over quicker which is always a plus. Simply equip this accessory and throw a remdy at him (after acquiring the Remedy Lores in your License Board) and it will inflict Sap, slowly draining his HP as you hack away at it. Bear in mind, the Nihaopaola is an expensive accessory, running at 30,000 gil, but well worth it in the long run for marks, bosses, etc.

An after battle cutscene shows the defeated and de-Misted Humbaba shrinking to a minuscule size, and then haplessly squashed by the giant sword it wielded.
