A 51-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Kansas City, Kan.

Police said William Grier was trying to cross the street at North 10th Street and Ann Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. when a car hit him and kept going. Officers said the vehicle may be a red GM sport utility vehicle.
