At one point, Donna Pierce struggled just to walk up a flight of stairs. She needed a transplant, and she got one. A heart valve from a 34-year-old woman saved her life. With that gift, Pierce made a commitment to live a fulfilling and healthy life and help others do the same, which she does at Aernal Fitness, the gym she co-owns in Mount Washington.
