www.finescaletech.com There are six young adult, turquoise, pigeon blood, marlbaro red discus fish and nine adult angels in this 70 gallon tank. Filtration consists on an ancient Fluval 403, a Maxijet 1200 in a lower rear corner and air stone driven sponge filter. 50% water changes each week.
I feed them 1-3x/day a high quality brand of mini sinking pellets, and a homemade beef heart, vegetable and seafood mix. I use agar as a binder. That food is also used in the diet of my trio of Varanus tristis.
Yes the bioload is heavy and the Discus will have a 125 gallon tank in the near future.
