This variation creates slightly different exposures that results in a flickering effect in your final movie. The solution? Set your aperture, press the Depth of Field preview button and while holding that down unlock and rotate your lens just a small amount- maybe 1/8 of a revolution. this locks the aperture in place, the camera no longer reads the aperture but the setting remains.
