Nuzlocke Rules:
1. You may only catch the first Pokemon you encounter on your first visit to a new route or area. If that Pokemon faints or flees, no Pokemon may be caught for that area.

2. Any Pokemon that faint are considered dead. Dead Pokemon are either released or are placed into a special PC box for "dead" Pokemon.

3. All Pokemon used for the Nuzlocke must be nicknamed.

4. The Nuzlocke does not begin until you receive your first Poke Balls. Any encounters prior to this point don't count.

Special Rules:
1. Dupes Clause - If the first Pokemon you encounter in a route is already a member of your team, you may attempt to capture the next encounter if it is a different Pokemon. Limit up to 2 retries.

2. Shiny Clause - If a shiny Pokemon is encountered at any point, it may be caught and used.
