What do people want? Food. Community. Art. Through arts and agriculture, we can connect with one another, learn where our food comes from, and eat healthier, local foods.
 Tina Bakehouse is a lifelong Iowa resident. She was born in Griswold, Iowa and currently resides in Hastings. Bakehouse has spent much of her life in the area of education earning a Bachelor of Arts in both Communication Studies and Teaching Theater, Speech, and English from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters of Arts in Communication from the University of 
Nebraska-Omaha. She currently works as an outreach and communications coordinator for Golden Hills Resource Conservation and Development and as an executive communication coach and consultant. Bakehouse has 
developed and implemented many farm to school projects and is part of the the Ag Arts organization along with Practical Farmers of Iowa. She has even served as a TEDxYouth coach for an event held in Omaha. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
