IAEA: Iran Gives "Initial" Response to U.N. Plan

The United Nations' nuclear monitoring agency says Iran has given its "initial" response to a U.N.-brokered plan that calls for Tehran to send its uranium abroad for low-level enrichment. Earlier Thursday (October 29), Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said his country is "ready to cooperate" with the West on the U.N. plan, but vowed Iran will never relinquish its nuclear program.
