Shooting the chronograph means checking your bullet velocity. However, in some rare cases it actually involves "shooting the chronograph". Typically by accident.

The idea of the chronograph is to shoot your bullet over the 2 sensors and together they can calculate the bullets velocity.  However, the aim of shooters can be pretty hard on the devices.
