Liverpool look set to be busy as the transfer window nears it's completion. Javier Mascherano took a step closer to leaving last night, after Roy Hodgson revealed he didn't want to play for them anymore, and Barcelona seem in pole position to snap him up.

Scott Parker's future continues to be shrouded in doubt and with the Argentinian leaving Liverpool there's a need for midfield reinforcements on Merseyside. Hodgson sees the West Ham man as the perfect replacement, but Tottenham's Harry Redknapp is also in for the well travelled enforcer.

Meanwhile, Hodgson also looks set to overcome Liverpool's striking deficiencies with the acquisition of Ola Toivonen. The Swedish international is in a hot vein of form right now, bagging himself 5 in 3 already, and the Red's boss has been alerted to his talents.

Elsewhere, movement is still expected in Manchester, as the revolving door continues it's endless circulation at City; Wigan and West Ham are ready to spend; and Real Madrid's decision to sell Lassana Diarra looks to have triggered a bidding war.
