This is the Final round of the NU Throwdown, 
A Nu tourney held by Supe on Smogon Wi-Fi.

The Rules of the tourney were:

- Single Elimination

- HG/SS moves are allowed

- Team changes are allowed between rounds

- No Hacks - Not even legit hacks. The point of wifi tourneys is to encourage trading in the wifi forum!

- Sleep Clause - You may only put one of your opponent's pokemon to sleep at a time. If your opponent used Rest or if Effect Spore causes sleep, that does not count.

- Species Clause - No 2+ of the same Pokemon per team. Example: 2 Medichams are on your team.

- Hax Items Clause - The items Bright Powder, Focus Band, Quick Claw, King's Rock, Razor Fang, Scope Lens, and Razor Claw are banned.

- Evasion Clause - The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.

- OHKO Clause - The moves Horn Drill, Sheer Cold, Guillotine, and Fissure are banned.

- Self KO Clause - You cannot use Selfdestruct, Explosion, or Destiny Bond if you are down to your last Pokemon.


About the match:

Like it has happened for the previous match, me and For54Years battled over Wi-Fi with our teams, but, we got D/Ced.
Yet, I had already got another team pulled togheter, (see the one on shoddy used against Bojan), but my opponent didn't want to build a new one, without the time for testing it accurately, and the end of the year and thus all the celebrations, was close...
So, I proposed Supe/Dan_Dan idea, to do a "Best of three" challenge:
The first player who win 2 battles wins the tourney,
and we both agreed.

This is the first one,
we know a bit of our team already, enough to spot some set, and to know what the pkm were about to do for the most time.
I still hadn't showed Hitmonchan (I think) and wasn't sure about regice moveset, as well as Gligar, which even at the end of this round was a wild card I couldn't figure out entirely.
yet, I knew Flareon/Leafeon could wall almost all his team, if I played enough care to medicham/Floatzel, which I figured out to be a CBer.
