The Lusty Young Smith is a 17th century English song first appearing in Thomas D'Urfey's 'Wit and Mirth: Pills to Purge Melancholy' in 1698. I learned this song from surfing the net and finding it on the Brobdingnagian Bards website. I liked it from the first time I read the lyrics. I never heard the actual song, so if I sing it wrong, I apologize. Still, I can't sing this song without smiling. Apparently this song is popular at Renaissance fairs.
