Not all missions go as planned. During a flight downtown I was fighting the wind but still getting some good shots...then...tragedy...

I lost signal and the Solo went into Return to Home mode...unfortunately there was an enormous bell tower about two feet out of place. BOOM! The Solo bounced off the tower and plummeted in pieces to the roof of the building. Fortunately the security guard escorted me to the roof (after some coaxing) to recover the remains.

I'm hopeful that it can be put back together, but it will take some doing. The camera went flying (not in a good way) but survived, the gimbal took a hit, HDMI header came off the gimbal controller board, the motherboard came of it's mount, a power wire was severed, the battery is badly damaged, the chassis has cracks and scrapes and all props were completely sheared off.

Please Note: I always fly safely and no one was at any risk during this incident, only the Solo and, of course, my pride.

This is why I'm buying a DJI Mavic or DJI Phantom 4 Pro ....perhaps a DJI Inspire 2

Micro Four Thirds compatibility is a big deal.
