Members of Team Sandtastic work on Sandi, West Palm Beach’s iconic 35-foot tall sand tree. The 700-ton sand tree will be under construction until November 21, 2018. Sandi’s nightly music and light shows kick off at the November 29 Clematis by Night Tree Lighting and continue nightly through December 31. “We get paid to play in the sand,” said Mark Mason. “We take something childish and whimsical and we take it seriously and professionally.
