Ether Surges After Hitting 2018 Low, Vechain Climbs Higher - September 13th Cryptocurrency News

The cryptocurrency market is looking a little more positive today as it is back in the green. Bitcoin climbed back over $6,400. Ether continues to head higher today. As of 10am EDT the price of ether is around $205 (gaining more than 18% over the past 24 hours).

Crypto fans seem to be less enthusiastic about the price of ether these days as it continues to struggle. This week we saw ether hit its lowest level so far this year, dropping to around $170. Today we saw it climb higher. This day last year it was around $275.


Vechain's coin gained more than 15% over the past 24 hours.  Vechain is in 19th place in terms of market cap. This month Vechain announced partnerships with BYD and PICC. These are two of the biggest Chinese companies in their sectors. 

Vechain is partnering up with Shanghai-based electric vehicle and battery supplier BYD to develop a blockchain carbon monitoring app.  BYD’s carbon banking solution will run on the VeChainThor platform.

On September 1st Vechain posted about its partnership with People's Insurance Company of China.  Vechain, PICC and DNV GL hope their partnership will bring some digital transformation to the insurance industry.
