This is the Instruction of Kagemni’s Father, X+2 Instruction Against Overeating, maxims transliterated from hieratic (handwriting) to hieroglyphs by James P. Allen, along with seven other stories for his book, Middle Egyptian Literature. I’m using his book for study. Two copies, actually, the print version is too tiny to read and the Kindle version isn’t much better. The illustrations in both are poor. Instead of writing in a notebook, I’m using Photoshop and JSesh program to earn the sign categories, their Manuel de Cordage codes that are based on Gardiner’s original classification, and their presumed pronunciation.

Doing it this way on a granular level in Photoshop instead of a notebook, revels the license translators use to get English from these signs along with making them available to run as a video.

These are notes that would be put into a notebook.
