In order to unlock this trophy, you need to invest at least 1 skill point in the Flamethrower skill in the Tech Skill tree. 

Once you have the skill, you can use it on a group of enemies, preferably more than 3. You need to scorch 3 for the trophy anyways. It's just easier if there are more. 

Dropships are the best place to get this trophy/achievement. Go near the enemies that drop, and immediately activate the Flamethrower to burn 3. 

This is a very finicky trophy and might take a few tries. Also some people have reported that it's glitchy. If it does glitch on you, do it on another save or reinstall the game.
