For sale in our Dallas showroom is a fantastic numbers matching 1968 Chevelle SS. If you are looking for a near perfect recipe for a muscle car this is it. The car, a 1968 Chevelle Super Sport. The color, red of course. The engine 396 CID V8. The transmission, 4 speed manual. Mix these all together into a true numbers matching combination and you have yourself an awesome muscle car. The engine was completely rebuilt three years ago from top to bottom and it runs like a top. The idle mildly aggressive and the power is torquey. The transmission shifts smoothly and the gear changes are positive.  The clutch was replaced and the flywheel resurfaced while that was being done. The body, interior and the rest of drive train has what is believed to be 87,197 original miles on them. The condition of the paint and interior can best be described as very good driver quality.  The paint has a few minor flaws from driving, but what else are you going to do with this car. The gauges work well including the vertical tachometer with the exception of the clock, which is not unusual on classic cars. The audio inside is centered around an original 8 track player that works well and includes a bunch of 8 track tapes for your enjoyment.
