This hack will keep all of your items safe when you are raided! 

Just put your items into a pile of rubble and when you are raided they will never be taken. The raid only ever takes the items that are in your basic inventory. 

If you do not have a pile of rubble in your home then make the metal workshop, then make the axe and use it to smash up a piece of furniture. This will create a pile of rubble that you can then use to store your things. 

If you do not have any furniture to smash then simple make some and use the axe to smash it. Just make a basic chair, smash it with the axe then transfer your items into the pile of rubble it creates to keep them safe. 

You need to pick up the items in order to use them, but make sure you do not take everything. If you do the pile of rubble will disappear and you will have to create a new one. 

Just noticed while watching this that I didn't need to upgrade the workshop to build the metal workshop, so you can get the axe sooner than I did, but you really don't need it. Although it is much better if you build a chair right next to your front door, and then smash that, so that your pile of rubble is easy to access as soon as you come home.
