Here’s an interesting story: Kanye West paid a pretty penny to cover up a sex tape.

The Daily Mail relays a story coming straight from Kanye’s cousin that the rap star gave away a laptop in 2012 – but a relative found the video of Kanye having sex with an unknown light-skinned black woman – and he eventually forked over a quarter of a million dollars to get the only copy of the video back.

And get this, his song Real Friends is about the incident.
But he report goes further… suggesting that the episode led the Kanye cutting himself off and becoming distrustful of those in his inner circle… which ultimately led to his breakdown.

His cousin exclusively told the Daily Mail that the discovery of his sex tape started his decline because he stopped trusting people. 

This was around the time he started dating his now-wife Kim Kardashian… and his cousin says that since the woman in the video was not Kim, or Amber Rose, his ex-girlfriend – he did everything to get the tape back.

And once he did he began to retreat from his family and became disconnected.
