This is an 8' Liberty Implements Backhoe attached to a 47hp New Holland T1530. In this video I'm digging out some smaller leftover roots and dirt to recover a drainage pipe I removed when I pulled out an old stump.

I had some problems with delivery of the backhoe from Liberty but so far it's working ok. The documentation is absolutely horrible because it's made in China and imported by Liberty Implements here in the US. The English manual they give you is complete crap and I had to figure most things out for myself. I called up their support line and the guy told me "I've never driven a tractor in my life and I live in the city. You're going to just have to figure that part out on your own".

That said, the actual backhoe itself works ok. I dug out two huge stumps using the 8" bucket since my ripper is still on backorder. The hydraulics aren't very fast but they seem to be powerful. Digging into damp soil is like a hot knife through butter. Hard dry soil breaks apart fairly easily still. Digging up small roots with the larger sized buckets is possible but you'll need the smaller 8" or a ripper to dig out big roots and stumps.
