Veterans Day weekend was also the time for the American Red Cross to stage a weekend blitz of neighborhoods hard-hit by Superstorm Sandy. Volunteers packed, delivered and distributed "Sandy Sacks" which contained basic necessities and information to help them cope with the aftermath of the storm. This video was shot at one of more than a dozen distribution sites in NYC alone: PS-105 (Public School 105) in the Rockaways, a NYC neighborhood that took a direct hit from Sandys winds, rains and surge.
