Hauling logs up out of a ravine near my house. I weighed the last two logs, both black walnut, when I got home. They were 130lbs and 140lbs, respectively. The local power company dropped several mature hardwood trees here a while back. The terrain is such that not even the most capable 4x4 truck can get close to the wood, so (for anyone up to the physical challenge) this spot is a treasure trove of black walnut, black locust, mulberry, red oak and white oak logs. I have hauled many truck loads worth of wood out of there on my shoulders over the last two years, some for firewood, some destined to become tool handles and kitchen utensils, all paid for with the work of human muscle.
