Since becoming a staple part of Basement Jaxx's legendary Rooty parties down in Brixton, Sarf London, Sinden's ascent to fame has been reasonably rapid. After this high-profile hook-up, he began working with Switch, and then Herve/The Count, with whom he is now readying a debut album for Domino. A residency at FABRICLIVE followed in the interim, where he mashes up any and every kind of bass-driven party-music, serving as an ambassador for the global dance music community and channelling their work into audiences wherever he goes. Like Gilles Peterson, only with a focus on heavier beats. We spoke to him about getting his breakthrough with the Jaxx, meeting Switch for the first time, clothes and his tips for 2009.
