US Commits $6 Million For Zimbabwe

The U.S. government is committing an additional $6.2 million and has deployed a Disaster Assistance Response Team to help combat cholera in Zimbabwe. The United Nations says the number of suspected cases has surpassed 16,000, with nearly 800 dead. But Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe announced on Thursday (December 11th) that the cholera outbreak has been "arrested." VOA's Robert Raffaele has more.
